Our Story
J52 Engineering was born from a simple observation, in the race to deliver massive rail projects, the incentive for Designers and Contractors to develop the most cost-effective engineering solution is often missing. Consequently rail projects often suffer from "gold-plated"—over-engineered solutions that drive up costs and extend timelines without adding functional value.
The gap in the market was clear, Rail Clients lacked a truly independent voice to advocate for the Minimum Viable Product and suitably qualified engineering staff to successfully challenge engineering decisions. J52 Engineering was founded to fill that void.
Our Director
Claire Deakin is a highly accomplished Chartered Civil Engineer and the Director of J52 Engineering. She has a decade long career defined by experience in technical design engineering and a commitment to delivering infrastructure excellence on site, working on behalf of Tier 1 Contractor and Designers.
Claire leads the firm, providing a unique bridge between her experience in complex engineering design and understanding the commercial pressures of delivering large rail infrastructure projects. Her leadership style is characterised by transparency, integrity, and a "solutions-oriented" mindset.
